The Maker Challenge was one of the main inspirations for Heighten, as the idea began to become clearer and to feel tangible. 
The Maker Space allowed me to explore a variety of techniques to design Heighten shoes, whilst learning great skills and making interesting things.
I really began to go deeply into the idea I had, thinking out of the box and considering factors that I might not have thought of before.
I learned how to draw clean and simple sketching, what type of prototype I could use to show the look or function of my product, different techniques like laser cutting and 3D printing, budgeting, programming, and much more!
This programme allowed me to learn new techniques and skills, and consolidate the ones I already had. After many months of lockdown, the Maker Space allowed me to feel the joy and satisfaction of when you assemble a product you so carefully designed!
